I participated in the Saint Petersburg Tattoo Convention as a jury member

Tattoo convention
The 2018 Saint Petersburg Tattoo Convention just wrapped up, and it was truly an impressive event. In St. Petersburg, they really know how to run a convention. Everything was well organized, the energy was alive, the tattoos were strong, and the overall atmosphere was great.

This time I was part of the jury. The list of judges was curated by Alexander Aharin. He selected people for specific categories based on their style and experience. I was asked to judge Black and Grey realism. There were so many models in this category that deciding on first, second, and third place was not easy. In the end, the jury reached a consensus, the awards found their rightful owners, and everyone was happy.

The highlight of the day for me was the finale. We went to the official afterparty, but there were almost no free seats. So we decided to continue the evening on our own. I went with Andrey Kolbasin and a few others to the bar Silent in St. Petersburg, hosted by Kolya Cherednyak. We were welcomed warmly, spent a long time sitting, drinking whiskey, and discussing tattoos, culture, and everything happening in the industry. It was a warm and lively way to end the convention. As always, St. Petersburg knows how to treat its guests.
