At this convention, I decided to focus on healed tattoos and submitted two pieces: Healed Color Tattoo and Healed Black and Grey Tattoo. I wanted to show how my work looks not only fresh on the skin, but also in real life after time has passed.
For the color category, my model was Tatyana, also known as Tania @green.vesper. I created a full-color sleeve for her, and with this project we went on stage in the Color Tattoo category and took first place. The colors held up well, the details were clear, and for me this is an important measure of quality—when a piece wins even in its healed state.
In the second category, Healed Black and Grey, my model was Natalia. We had previously won together at the Bologna Tattoo Convention in the black-and-grey category. Since then, the project has grown significantly. New elements were added, tattoos appeared on her thighs, and we are gradually working downward, step by step, building a full-body suit. At this convention, we once again took first place in Black and Grey Tattoo.
Now we are very close to our goal. We just need to finish the tattoos on the legs to be able to fully compete in the Body Suit category. I hope one day to step on stage with a completed suit and try to win a prize in the full category. For me, this feels like the next major achievement in my career.
The fact that we took first place in our categories with both Tania @green.vesper and Natalia shows that we are moving in the right direction. The projects are growing, the healed tattoos hold up beautifully, and this motivates me to keep pushing forward and raising the bar.
